It’s been more than a year since our last blog post on this site. During that year, a lot has happened. I have finally started doing my master degree in cyber security. I’ve spent the past 8 month in France and will finish my degree in Finnland. Because of this, I currently have summer vacation - four months in total. I decided to travel Europe a bit more and visit some countries which have been on my todo list for a long time now.
Sadly, Flo can’t join me this time around. He has recently been blessed with a beautiful and healthy son and his time and attention is needed at home. I want to take this opportunity however to thank him and his wife again that we were able to do the trip through vietnam last year. We were able to share some of the best memories of my life and by far the best travelling experience so far.
I started the tour today at around 11. I took the highway until Thusis to gain some ground. From there I took the Julierpass to St. Moritz and continued on to Zernez and then over the Fuornpass (Ofenpass) into south tyrol. Many of the more interesting routes were still closed due to snow, so there weren’t too many options.

The weather started with complete cloud coverege and temperatures around 16°C and turned into light rain and 3°C on top of the Julierpass. All in all, the low temperatures and the rain made for a long ride without any decent photo opportunities. My equipment however was nearly perfect. I was never cold or wet, just some mild fogging up in my helmet from time to time.

I checked into my hotel in Coldrano. It’s a very simple but affordable hotel with absolutely lovely people. After taking a shower and checking the area, I went to the restaurant which belongs to the hotel. I can honestly say, I’ve never in my life had such a fast service. I ordered my drinks and the main course. The drinks arrived around 30s after I finished ordering. I tried to look up the Swiss voting results, but was interrupted by a freshly made pizza before I read all the results.
